Do this:
Scroll: click and hold left mouse button on the white background, and drag the mouse leftwards, upwards, with the mouse button held down.
Test to leave a reply: scroll down to the Example Discussion below and click Leave a Reply.
Reply to someone else's comment — click Reply below someone else's comment.
Try out other Themes, to find out how Debiki Wordpress Comments works with other themes. — Click a Theme in the list to the right.
You could also have a look at the discussion below, and think about whether interesting comments are sorted to the left, and boring comments appear far away to the right. That's how it's supposed to work.
Example Discussion
Topic: Which is your favorite WordPress comment system? If you don't know, you could type something else instead, e.g. "Testing testing 1, 2, many".

Here is a Pro version of the comment rating plugin: http://wealthynetizen.com/comment-rating-pro/, also by Bob King.
It restricts votes per IP and cookie. It costs a donation of $20.

Comment Karma was languishing for some years but now it’s been revived it seems :-)

Oh, this is nowadays actually identical to the Comment Rating plugin by Bob King (see my previous comment, pointing to that plugin).
?? Bob King continued developing Comment Karma, but under the name Comment Rating ?? when Alex Bailey discontinued the Comment Karma project.

Personally if I were to start a new blog, I’d probably start with the simplest commenting system I could find. I suppose that’d be the built in one. Then if my blog gets popular, I’d feel surprised :-) and think about what to do, but not until then…
However if I were to start a new forum, then I’d guess it’s lots of work to switch to a new *forum* with a better discussion system. (In comparison to plugging in a new discussion system in a WordPress blog.) — So I’d try to choose the “right” forum from the start. But I’ve never really hosted any forum (except for one I’m developing myself) so I don’t know for sure.
